In 1983, a breast cancer diagnosis changed Sandy’s life forever. Since then, she has been a patient advocate in many ways. She has participated in education programs, reviewed breast cancer research grants, designed training for other advocates, and facilitated support groups locally and internationally. Dr. Finestone has counseled hundreds of women with breast cancer from diagnosis and decision making through recovery and followup. Her knowledge and expertise are available to all women, no matter where they are on their breast cancer journey.
