Patient to Patient Mentor Program
This program's objective is to provide information and support to anyone facing cancer through contact with a Hope Wellness Center volunteer mentor.
Our mentors are cancer survivors and have been screened and trained to work with patients and patients' families and friends. Patients will be matched as closely as possible with a mentor of similar age and similar diagnosis. Information is provided in the following areas:
- Patient Navigation
- Communicating with Your Medical Team
- Survivorship Planning
- Patient Education
- Coping with Treatment Side Effects
- Understanding Your Emotions
- Talking to Family and Friends
- Finding Resources
